But . . . he's not a merry man!

I remember it as "How ironic - he's blind, after a lifetime of enjoying being able to see."

Two hundred channels, and nothin' but cats.

I feel much the same way.  I mean really, given the rate at which power shifts occur in non-Federation governments, it seems pretty shortsighted to do something this drastic just because you happen to have fallen out of favour at the moment.  And it's not as though this is new to Kurn - remember the whole 'Sins of the

That's just one step away from Horselover Fat's "The Roman Empire never ended".

Yeah, it always did seem strange to me that Odo's fundamental emotions are basically the same as ours.

Yeah, but there's a difference between 'guy you can count on to carry out an impartial investigation, without letting politics interfere' and 'guy you feel comfortable confiding in and want to get romantic advice from'.

Funnily enough, I also didn't particularly care for Trip during the original run (though I stopped watching in season 2 that time), but on watching/re-watching the whole series I found him the best character, largely because Connor Trinneer was the closest thing the show had to a good actor.

(Loudly) It sure is nice being a solid, isn't it?  Yep, just sitting here in one shape, doing lots of normal solid things.

From now on, 'Aqualung' will always be about Changelings for me.

I must say, I'm surprised that 'Crossfire' has so many fans.  I've

ask me, and his relationship with Kira

But I really would never eat a McDonald's hamburger.

@sacrelicious The first amendment makes it illegal for congress to abridge the freedom of speech.  I have a hard time seeing that as implying that if congress makes a law concerning contracts, it must prohibit contracts that abridge freedom of speech.  It seems a somewhat tortured argument to say that by not

Which, ironically, was the old you.

@avclub-c871d4ba38c83e9b1642f02872f7ef2f:disqus Almost as though there were some ancient language called proto-Slavic that both Polish and Russian are descended from.

Yeah, but then pretty much everyone in the Federation seems to be doing a hell of a lot of work with no monetary reward.

Ira Stephen Behr destroyed the World Trade Center to bring about a political culture that would make some DS9 episodes even more relevant!

@avclub-bca3531762af8a993c4f60c48fd5e33b:disqus  That's true about Janeway to an extent, but she is neither as consistently terrible a captain as Archer nor built up to such demigod-like stature.  And when she does make, shall we say, poor decisions, the show is at least sometimes willing to criticize her for them
