You don’t even need to be in a big city anymore! Lots of local groceries have delivery. Check their website if they have one or call them up. I don’t think we would eat food anymore if we couldn’t get our groceries delivered.

Best tip me and my wife have discovered is to use a grocery delivery service (locally it's Coborns Delivers): We buy almost only exactly what we need now, for some reason.
