Martini 935, because when you're this awesome cool is whatever you say it is. Even when it's awful.

The most enthusiastic greeting I ever got in my 914 was from a guy in a red 911 turbo. A few of them get it.

No way! You're doing it wrong. Correct the stance, burp the fenders, and add some modern rubber. You'll get compliments and buy offers every time you drive it. You may even have a pretty young thing lean out the window of another car and say "I love your car and you're rather handsome yourself." You'll feel so good

I would already be driving a 7 if it wasn't for the giant square-back penis thing.

@m2m: Oh sweet glory. I don't have the car or the wheels but you made my day anyway. Just knowing they exist is enough for now.

I desperately wish these were affordable. I want old-school on the modern chassis. I saw a late '90s C2 dressed up as a '73 RS once. Pre-'73 fenders, bumpers, exhaust, etc. But the Fuchs were fakes because you couldn't get them for the late offset. Old school over a modern chassis would be huge fun.

They may look that way, but in their day they were the lightest and strongest street-legal alloy wheel in the world. They were single-piece forged and hella awesome. They are legend.

This really should have been titled "And here is your ridiculously awesome Land Rover wallpaper of the day"

3200lb, 190hp, $26k.

Hydrogen fuel cells are awesome, but it was odd to have all these shots of drifting awesomeness punctuated by shots of this "picked last at recess" Honda shuffling down a straight back road. And then the Fiat 500 static shots at the end? What was that about? There were awesome elements to this video, but some parts

This is a blessing and a curse. He thought he was buying a fun car and instead he got a 30yr investment with balloon payment that only comes due if he doesn't touch it too much.

@Pessimippopotamus: RS6 Avant was going to be my vote as well. The general public views wagons as something practical that is driven by timid people. That stereotype makes the RS6 the ultimate sleeper.

The cop is actually a very butch female with issues.

I personally wouldn't be interested in the Ferrari or Aston for the reason you state, but I'd take any of the other 4 over anything on the cheapo list. Having tasted the goods myself (used low-mile high-end for less than cost of new cheapo) I'll never go back.

Just a few cars on autotrader right now selling for under $30k:

@boston.hodgson: I missread "Plasmacluster" as plasma cutter. Oops. On the bright side it did create an interesting aroma.

A guy that works down the hall from me drives a '70 Cuda. Looks like new. He's been driving it for the entire 17 years I've been there. One day I asked him what the story was and he said that in 1970 he finished his 5 years in the Navy and stepped off the ship in San Diego with nothing but a sack over his shoulder. He
