I’m happy they didn’t go full-retro. However, this looks like a Tonka truck that someone said, “Hmm, I think I want to take this to the Met Gala.”

Jeep MTS: Map-to-Sample

I have a feeling if cities and urban areas continue on the path of evicting cars from the city center, we might see a trend towards a Japanese-esque way of personal transportation. Family cars in suburban and rural areas will be sedans or trucks, but not the behemoths we have now. Emphasis on “personal” transportation

@yourfriendsyd is probably my favorite follow of 2020. Very vibey, as the kids say.

DEJA VU

Agreed. I believe visibility (in all aspects) is the key to safer roads. In both of my older (20+ y/o) cars, I can see all four corners and have no blind spots with basic wide-angle mirrors or a quick over-the-shoulder glance.

Completely agree, although I’d be tempted to go air-cooled with $135k.

Neutral: I cruised past the, “Let’s work on cars and get them as good as I can,” stage a couple months ago. Now, I’ve kinda fallen back into that but August in Alabama is coming with a vengeance in the form of heat and humidity.

One of the reasons why I would really want a LC500. Reliability (or at least the reputation of it) and that design in one package.

Probably because it hasn’t grown as much as its competitors. Drove past a new 4-door Civic yesterday and it was just marginally smaller than my 20-year-old Accord.

Way to get some good Z time in. Old cars love it when you spend time working, cleaning or driving them.

I very much want to support the domestic brands, especially Ford. Up until last month, I’ve had an immediate family member working for them since the late ‘40s.

Correct answer. I’m really smitten with my ‘99 coupe.

Jeep Wranglers are to 50-year-old women in 2020 as red C5 convertibles were to 50-year-old men in 2003.

Will do. Should be getting an Omix factory replacement suspension this winter. Whenever I do it again, I’ll get Deaver to build a set of springs for me for my spine’s sake.

I’m not the biggest fan of some of the writing that goes on this site, however, many times, reading it has provoked me to thought and reasoning.

Same situation with my cousin, although he only has one bike - a Heritage Softail - that he uses to cruise the Trace or take his kids out on rides.

To reiterate the obvious: there are many similarities between the HD people and the JK/JL/Gladiator people. I’m all for riding bikes, I’m all for roadtripping or overlanding Jeeps with a group but it seems there’s not a lot of that happening.

I’m at 28 and 21 with my little fleet. I’ve had to do quite a bit to get them where I want them, but I’m pretty pleased so far.

Good take.
