@sinfire: Why does everyone say that? Isn't the purpose of the large ledges to protect the screen from hitting the ground?

For gamers with game?
@TechHaze: Her driving skills are second to nun.
@Fourdagon: Nobody "needs" it, but it is more useful to recycle it by removing the data plan giving it to someone that wants an iPod touch, but doesn't have the money to buy one. In my family, that is how my younger cousins get them. If a clumsy person, like my cousin, drops one, it isn't as bad as if it was a brand…
@Fourdagon: That's different than a perfectly good iPhone that could be reused by someone who can't afford one. The one in the video is perfectly good. It could have been given to someone or recycled.
@redman042: Couldn't you just buy the bumpers? You would still preserve the appeal of the front and back faces while preventing damage.
@blehbleh13: Except when it comes to Kent German and his Samsung TVs that play videos at 720 FPS.
@Ale5: More Android OS updates and phones != more potential or dedication. It just means that they release them in shorter intervals. Apple incorporates their fixes, optimizations, and features into one giant update instead.
@olingerenator: Android has a similar predicament. People without Snapdragon processors are restricted from using the live wallpapers and the 3D app launcher. It isn't quite as bad (only applies to the cool little things), but it is still present.
@ratsgoboom: Dropping the animations would make the OS feel less polished. Couldn't the animation be used to cover up part of the load time? If so, it would make the waits feel a bit longer compared to 3.1.3 if they did do that.
@tyler.derden: I think that Microsoft makes pretty good software. The Zune software (yes, I own a Zune HD 32 GB) and Microsoft Office 2010 are just a few examples of the amazing quality Microsoft is capable of. They just had a couple big blunders that completely destroyed their name.
@DanyBrancho: Too bad they didn't include all the lights :(
@Jim-Bob- 348k miles and counting: They made it a lot quieter. They probably also improved the cooling. The power bricker is lighter too. Engadget had a hands on with it.
@hancolombo: You kinda need a large bezel for playing intense tilting-based games safely. If you decreased the border by that amount, you could end up accidentally tapping the screen.
@archercc: You mean the Dell Streak? [www.slashgear.com]
@Matt08642: What happened to his legs!?
@DeathcomFour: He said he built it in one night. I think he's joking about the entire thing.
@oholiab: The Droid would probably still destroy it because Arm 11 is an older architecture than the A8. The greater clock speed generally doesn't equate to better performance. It would just be better at chewing batteries.
@stabbytheicepic: The Nexus One's screen gets killed by the iPhone 4G (probably) and it even loses to the 3GS because it is AMOLED so it has horrible outdoor performance and the PenTile pattern causes the N1 to lose on many screen tests
