Shows what I know. I this was a sniper term: as in the spotter would say “send it” if the sniper could shoot.

Victim’s bother said he didn’t think the victim knew the shooter, but they were a year apart in age and apparently went to the same high school. It’s possible he was a casual acquaintance and was going out to talk to him, or even make sure he didn’t drive home drunk.
It isn’t just that you hear it, it is that you ID that sound as a gunshot. I’ve been in some pretty loud dive bars where a gunshot outside, especially smaller caliber, wouldn’t even go noticed over the music, people, glassware etc. It’s possible they heard it, and didn’t think anything of it.
Yeah, I think it was a little PSA about being safe for today’s match.
100% this concept. I was recently shopping for a new car, and much is going the way of digital fader bars on newer vehicles. Even stuff as simple as trying to adjust the temperature, change the radio station, or set the cruise control without looking away from the road is getting more difficult to find in “manual” mode…
Normally I’d chalk that up to autocorrect, but it seems they’ve already taken Dempsey prisoner...
I’m lucky enough to race at a club where a surprising number of protests are withdrawn over: “How about we just buy your crew a couple rounds of drinks?”
Qo’nos wasn’t worth gentrifying after Praxis blew.
Trump doesn’t even really beat the index funds over the long run. http://fortune.com/2015/08/20/donald-trump-index-funds/
For whatever reason, the scooters are the ultimate embodiment of how the “sharing economy” is treated as a license to ignore the rules and call it “disruption.” The rental company happily privatizes public space with the sole goal being market share. Many of the end users (not just a “few”) seem content to discard…
Thought that was The Dude’s car for a second.
There is unintentionally good advice on that page right now:
Out in California and Nevada I’ve noticed it can also mean enough blood/meat got ON the car that it wasn’t expected to nicely rinse off in the rain. Deer strikes will get a biohazard sticker slapped on them, but the interiors can still be in pretty good condition as long as the blood hasn’t seeped too far into cabin.…
Maybe it was my prior experience being with Japanese cars (1993 Toyota Pickup followed by 2004 Xterra) but I feel like going 70K rock-solid should be expected from a car. The pickup was sold about 215K (original engine and transmission) and the Xterra sold at about 150K.
By comparison, my 2007 A3 started going to crap…
Shout out to this dad not only for helping his son out of the car, but also for having the composure to check the track for oncoming cars as he was clearing the wall. Well done.
As someone who works in the peach producing industry, can you not refer to Torch as a “peach” in public? People are confused enough about Jason’s origins, and we don’t need the market confusion.
The industry is still recovering from a salacious and false narrative about peaches by a Mr. Dahl. (We’d sue, but he hasn’t…
Elvis and The Thrusty Bits is now the name of my imaginary rockabilly band.
I got to borrow my grandma’s Geo Metro when I needed to get someplace, and I was lucky for the opportunity to have some wheels.
Looks like the tent cabins at Big Basin State Park. Great park.
Well, the advertisement made me want to take my Jeep camping.
