Apple’s killing the HDMI port on MacBook Pros is why I’m trapped in an older laptop than I want. I swore I’d stop carrying dongles around.

I bought a Jeep because the price was right, and my wife LOVES it! Says she never wants to get rid of it, ever. Just saying....

(WARNING: Your mileage may vary.)

“At some point these systems have to get out into the real world because no matter how complicated you make simulation, the real world is vastly more f’d up.”

Except they seem to have skipped the “not-yet-in-the-real-world” phase because of their “disruptor” mindset. If Uber’s app crashes, I don’t get pickup up and

I lived on a street that didn’t go through to a major thoroughfare, so to get home I had to do a little right-left-right-left turn sequence to get onto my street. As I pulled up in front of my house pulled my stuff together and was surprised by a very agitated cop at the window of my car. He took my license and was in

I was hoping for something more like this:

Fill your pants over France in your poopy suit!

I like this conversation: “I like good facts. I don’t really even dislike bad facts. I HATE surprises. Don’t EVER surprise me with something.”

General Tips from the casual Paris visitor:
- The Louvre has (or at least had) its own entrance from the Metro station with a much shorter line than the main entrance. It says something like “Carousel” above it, and leads into a mall area, but we walked STRAIGHT in through security last time I went.

- Tons of people in

+1 for speaking some French and being polite. I found that most people would stand patiently while I tried to butcher some phrase off my phone, smile, correct my pronunciation, and then answer in English often with helpful tips.

Usually states have carved out enforcement exceptions from “highways” to include privately owned lots that the public is invited onto (such as store parking lots) for things like reckless driving so that they can enforce people pulling into parking lots and doing donuts and stuff.

This is why you send a good lawyer to the negotiating table instead of just the marketing strategy guy who got caught sleeping on the domain name and is emotionally involved in getting it for the company. I’ve seen more than a few C-level egos get checked during negotiations when the lawyer leaned in and said

In high school my buddy called his hazards the “crazy maneuver lights” and considered them a warning to other drivers (as well as those in the car) that he was about to do something stupid with his automobile. It worked shockingly well to clear a hole in traffic.

I’d always been told that President’s Day weekend was a bad time to go car shopping, but I was bored so I fired off a bunch of emails asking for quotes, and on roughly $27K sticker CX-5, all were all $500 to $1500 cheaper than I’d been quoted previously. Now I’m not sure what to do....I kind of think I might buy a car

I’m actually happy that one day in the future, human-kind may join together to fight some interstellar threat. I’m really hoping we invade some other planet demanding unconditional surrender while waving the Earth Day flag, and it makes all the current hippies look like interplanetary war mongers in the history books.

Not just that, but it was prefaced with the host saying he thought the whole show was a setup. It sort of comes with the idea that the kid was playing it up for a director came in and said: “Hey kid, go annoy the hell out of that man over there. It’ll convey that he’s a real person, just like the rest of us.”

I pay a little over $25,000 per year on my student loans, but on over $200K in debt, so most of it goes to interest.

So, I wasn’t so sure about the duct on the hood...until I looked at the engine bay picture. This is 100% awesome custom work, and orders of magnitude better than the crap that mustang owners (well, 3rd and 4th gen mustang owners) often glue onto their hoods with no functionality. Keep it up.
