I imagine that most people who are saying they hate China are using the word “China” to refer to the authoritarian Chinese government that’s rife with human rights abuses, not the citizens of the nation of China nor the ethnic group(s) who identify as Chinese.

The writers of this site are being just as cowardly as Cena.

“Hates the CCP” does not have to mean “Hates China” or even “Hates Chinese people”.

I think you assume its an act.  Look at Alice Cooper.  He dressed up in scary clothes and sang some scary songs but from all accounts the guy sounds like a pussy cat.

As a gay man - it’s because it’s a well written, well directed, brilliantly acted and incredibly personal movie.

He was certainly a garbage human being, but I’m not sure I understand what an “outdated accomplishment” is. Is Abbey Road an outdated accomplishment? The Great Pyramids? The Theory of Relativity?

Thank you for this. I have known many people who just... well... grew out of it. But if you mention that in mixed company you can get someone very irrationally upset, even though someone else’s experience in no way effects their own.

You sound like you know a lot about the topic, so I’m sorry if I put erroneous information out there. I was only speaking from the experience of friends and family. Obviously, everyone is different and I hope it didn’t come across as if I was saying that someone can’t overcome their battles.

Some of it is annoyingly anachronistic, like the scene where he’s borderline terrified riding an escalator. (Escalators were invented in the 1890s.)
