It’s pretty common among the fundamentalist LDS sects for the additional "wives" to file for benefits as single parents. Granted, they don't have the option of marrying the fathers, since polygamy isn't legal. But it seems like something a person ought to feel icky about.
If guys like this had to pay fair market rates for not only housework and childcare but also to have someone sleep with them, they'd realize half their income was a bargain.
Funny how when you pay a nanny/daycare and domestic cleaner to do it it’s suddenly a job, but if you’re doing it for free it’s no longer work.
“Take half” is code for “I don’t want to pay child support and alimony, and I don’t want to marry a woman who can support herself either because then I wouldn’t have 100% control of the rest of her life.”
I seem to recall some fatalities literally being listed on the gaming cabinet.
Fortnite was lightning in a bottle when they recycled the first iteration. I immediately knew this game would go the way of Paragon. I often wonder if Epic will ever strike gold again, not that they have to with engine licensees being at an all time high.
They’ve become a too-big-to-fail studio internally. I hope that…
We had this one tech at a unionized post-secondary place that would, once a year, just tear into their manager. Disciplinary write ups reset every year, they would literally pin their last on in their tool box. The day after it expired, they would come in and just let their manager have it with everything they thought…
At my last job when they used phrases like ‘lean operation’ it just meant you’re now doing more work with the same amount or less people.
Die a hero, live a villain, eat Arby’s.
Bingo. HIS betting was suspect as hell. But all the woman haters are too busy staring at her tits to pay attention to him.
My read? She thought he missed his draw and was sick of players trying to bully her (watch how dudes play against women at poker tables...). She said “fk it” and called him down to force him to show.
Going all-in was perfectly reasonable. A) She had pulled the same min-raise bluff on an earlier stream, B) He has plenty of fold equity to any random hand she might be trying to bluff with or even a small pair hand, C) Even if he is behind (to anything but a full house) he has a ton of outs to win the hand.
J4 is also considered to be an unplayable hand for the most part. Therefore it’s a junk hand.
I worked Texas Hold’em at a casino here in Australia an eternity ago, including some high stakes tournaments and cash games. I agree, I don’t see any sign of cheating here.
Exactly this. Once you’re heads-up, virtually every normal betting strategy goes out the window in favor of folding immediately or going all-in on any given hand. Most cash games would fold up at 2 players for exactly that reason and in a tournament the play is even looser since both players have already won.
I’m pretty familiar with poker, played in a lot of live games, watched a lot, and my initial thought watching the video was that she thought she had J3 and not J4, but was too afraid to admit it. The commentators also said they weren’t sure if the card reader had it right and that maybe she had something different…
Q: “It looks like an ordinary string of anal beads. But give it a sequence of coded Kegel squeezes, and you have an instant flotation device!”
In cash games people sometimes do it. If one player wins both hands they get the pot. If it’s split the pot is split.
If she were cheating, she’d have to have been getting some serious help from probably several other people, and it would have had to come down to manipulating the deck, which is practically impossible in professional poker.
