Hey, I liked Steamboy.

I'm not as big a Shortpacked! fan as I am It's Walky! and Roomies! . I learned about them when I found Dumbing of Age, and read through both Roomies! and It's Walky! twice.

I decided to go with Tales of Xillia over Kingdom Hearts as my current game, since I already beat Kingdom Hearts on the PS2 years ago.

If the battle system is your main complaint, I would say give it a try. I just started it, and so far it's decent.

One thing I have to add to truthtellah's recommendation is that the game gets to be a bit of a grind fest in spots. Thankfully, the dungeons are a gigantic improvement gameplay wise compared to Persona 3.
