YO ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT THEY BASICALLY MADE A NEW TOP DOWN SWAT GAME BUT WITH LIKE, FIRE EMBLEM RELATIONSHIP MECHANICS? I NEVER KNEW I NEEDED THIS IN MY LIFE.

Dude. Hironobu Sakaguchi.

Jesus Christ, yes - I feel like I’m taking crazy pills! It’s a thread with Jason and a bunch of commenters excitedly going over the potential implications of the ending, and what it might mean, and... I want to jump and scream What the fuck are you talking about? It’s made by Tetsuya Nomura! You people are discussing

I’d love so much of this concept if not for recent Nomura stuff. Or seemingly recent, guess decade plus now.

BINGO. This is not a good sign for the future if Nomura is given yet another project with parallel realities

You can’t “remake” something that didn’t exist before. Sure it remade a lot of the things that happen in the first part of ff7, but it does so by it fitting a sequel. Not even just setting one up, but even from early in the game it starts creating new things that lead to a new experience/story. And I’m not talking

If it was Yoko Taro or even any half-competent director I would have actually been rather excited about the new ending. A proper FF7 remake is cool, but I appreciate a re-imagining even more. That said, does anyone actually believe Nomura can pull this off? I have very little faith in a FF7 sequel unless someone else

she was never like that in the source material though. the girly and goofy persona they give her in other media is how she’s portrayed in the manga.

Crystal Chronicles was the first Final Fantasy that I could actually sink a lot of time into. Being able to draw on a Moogle was pure joy.

>uninteresting

There’s really a very simple reason for this, and it requires no tin foil chapeau: Dolt 45's ego is more important that people’s lives. Even the lives of those who love him (literally) to death. The dude has such contempt for his own followers, he doesn’t give a shit about putting them in danger if it means he can

And I just chortled through my nose...

You have a good point, it is time for a couple beers.

Wow, this is seriously great stuff! Amid all the nonsense and hype and pointing of fingers, theRoot brings us back to reason & reality. Sadly, such a sober analysis will not draw many clicks, or maybe it’s my cynical side speaking.

People get confused, because the monolith that most people know about is black.

Nothing to add other than I really dug this analysis. Thanks!

“That maybe should have been a clue to the Sanders’ campaign.”

I don’t he bothered unless they were academics.

I think he assumed the under 40 crowd would somehow outweigh the over 40.  Of course, people over 40 are more likely to participate.

And remember, Ayanna Pressley endorsed Warren, not Sanders. That maybe should have been a clue to the Sanders’ campaign.
