I guess I wasn’t paying attention to Squeenix enough to notice that, but that would be annoying.

That’s completely inaccurate. Not every final fantasy is linear. Every final fantasy before 13 had towns you could run around an explore, completely with alleys with no actual purpose other than to make it feel like a town, plus an open world to run around. Not to mention, *you could go BACK to the previous towns*.…
Honestly FF14 is the true next entry in the series after 12 I look at the 13 trilogy as a dark stain on the series as a whole. The ARR story albeit fed through an MMO wrapper is a very worthy FF story.
There is an incredibly annoying trend in media of going back and “re-evaluating” old properties like games/movies and saying “oh they’re not that bad.” This practice is exponentially worse when it involves a numbered list, i.e. 10 REASONS WHY THE PHANTOM MENACE IS ACTUALLY SMARTER THAN YOU REALIZE.
It’s beyond…
FF14 really does feel like the game that stole all the best scenario writers.
I mean, apart from the latest XIV expansion, many of us are still waiting for a decently written FF game a decade later. (Or more, depending on what ‘the last half-decent FF game’ was by personal preference.)
Yeah, sometimes a title that is crummy 10 years ago is still crummy now. I love a good success story or something that, upon reevaluation, paved the way for games proceeding it with unique concepts. Unfortunately, this is not one of those times.
It’s not because it’s complicated, it’s because it’s not told well enough to care when you’re supposed to care. Same with XV.
Why do we need to go back in time to rehash a bad game yet all the while attempting to make it “not so bad” 10 years later?
And, to be fair, if Sony didn’t have a fistful of spite.
I’ll gladly vote for Sanders if he’s the nominee, but this is bad, and as the piece points out, absolutely unnecessary on his part. It would appear (based on this, his unwillingness to criticize Tulsi Gabbard and not endorsing the Warren-backed Cisneros,) that his endorsements come down to pure personal loyalty. On…
Seems his sympathies towards precocious and assertive high school-aged girls stops when they aren’t romantic candidates in one of his stories. How very strange.
Riot was valued at $366 million in 2011. It’s earned roughly $20 billion ever since being bought by the Chinese. (Forbes)

Disagree 100%. If Rinoa was a serious and effective resistance leader more in the mold of say Chris from Suikoden 3 or Laura or Fie from Trails of CS, she would have been great.
Yeah this house is going to be hard one to sell because its a Mcmansion. You have three different styles of architecture clashing together there with no flow at all.
And can we stop the “Google shuts down everything” bullshit
No
I think Stadia has one fundamental problem that goes beyond the tech. Google itself. Googles history with abandoning platforms is notorious and vast. Its one thing if they abandoned Stadia and you still have access to the games you buy but you dont. Everything is tied to Google, which is what Google wants, but I doubt…
I’m actually shocked by the data usage of this thing...even if it worked perfectly it would cause me to think long and hard before jumping in.
