Those questions you posed are NOT ridiculous to any reasonable person, as any reasonable person should be thinking the exact same things. You’re spot on.

Have you seen this country?

My wife’s 2014 Lincoln MKZ 2.0L, making 141 hp and 129 lb-ft in a car weighing 4000 lbs with passengers. That engine is not only loud, but it’s a dog and takes far too long to get up to any reasonable passing speed on any highway. I tried to discourage her from that car, but she wanted the large moon roof and the

Exactly, if they were actually pro life then most of them wouldn’t also be pro death penalty/execution. The only thing they actually stand for is telling other people what to do at all times.

All of the “people that voted R don’t like how the Republicans handled the Big Lie and Jan 6 and either switch their vote or just don’t vote because they refuse to vote for either party” aren’t real. If there’s anything at all republicans, conservatives and assholes are good at it’s doubling down.

Are we actually learning about it now, though? I don’t know about you, but I just assumed all of it to be the case at the time. I mean anything they said was a lie, and their worst intentions were always the reality, so I just assumed that all of these horrible things were facts and actually happening.

Some of us, but mostly our kids and grand kids are so utterly, irreversibly fucked.

And Italian satellites.

I got my front left corner chopped off of my Ford Focus last year by a lady driving a big ass lifted Ram. I don’t think she ever saw me, at any point. I’m fairly certain her mirrors were so high up she likely couldn’t even see the roof of my car. She just decided it was time to move over and “merged” right into me

Nah, we’ll just be talking about brownouts and blackouts then as the electric companies, states, counties and municipalities continue to not spend on infrastructure upgrades.  It’s almost like they’re more interesting in saving money than actually making money.

Méthanie, huh? Sounds about right from most of the white trash areas I grew up near here in Texas.

I grew up in the panhandle of Texas, and now every time I go back I get that same oppressive isolation feeling that I had forgotten about long ago. I enjoy being alone, but knowing there are people close. Being out in the middle of a flat, featureless expanse surrounded by nobody and nothing is terrifying to me now.

Apparently all you have to do is yell “FIRE?” as a question, and then you’re “just asking, just curious.” It’s insane that that line of defense works on television and radio.

At this point there is no turn-around possible. No recovery, no coming to our senses. We’ve fucked ourselves and future generations. The only things left to figure out now are how many people the changes will kill, and what the world might look like as we go through the next 100 years.

At this point democracy in America is just performance art circling the drain.

That uncompromisingly ugly description is apt, and it also applies to most of the white people living there, which is around 85% of the population, and higher if you include the surrounding farming towns and communities. It’s nickname is the Hub City, which makes sense geographically and from a farming perspective,

I was born there and spent the first 22 years of my life there all the way through college at Tech.

Oh come on, you know, you KNOW she already got the vaccine, and she damn sure isn’t going to tell anyone she did.

Where’s Thanos when we need him?

Conservatives: “Pro life! All life matters!”
