Yeah exactly, I mean it never had a chance. It was a good film but I think people are projecting their love of a brilliant character creation/portrait (Furiosa) onto a film that ultimately was kind of a rehash of Road Warrior.
Honestly, I think Mad Max won pretty much exactly what it deserved. It was a very-well done movie—especially in certain aspects—but it was not the best film of the year, nor was George Miller the best director.

I agree with you completely. The only good thing about Nolan Batman was Joker and Ra’s Al Ghul.
