This whole case was so dumb too. All he had to do was not call it a prayer and not do it on the 50 yard line. Invite the team for 2 minutes of quiet reflection. Do it in the locker room. Get a coaching job at one of the MANY Christian schools in the area. 

Get ready for “freedom of religion, not freedom from religion” to make it into a Supreme Court decision, followed closely by “the founding fathers were Christian, so clearly religious freedom only applies to Christians.” I look forward to being thrown in jail in the future for my lack of religious belief.

The Supreme Court will simply block any attempts by left-wing causes to use this format, and allow any right-wing attempts to continue. After their immigration decision last week, the mask is completely off.

It’s a Private Attorney General lawsuit; the state sovereign gives its power to enforce the law over to private individuals. Its a common work-around to under-staffed state AG offices. They would have standing.

Rather than being enforced by the state, the law is enforced by private citizens, who are encouraged to file lawsuits against people they suspect of obtaining, providing, or otherwise facilitating the procedure after the six-week mark.
