You're not missing anything. The EU books go in to greater detail but the Sith were basically running both sides of the war with Sidious guiding the Republic and Dooku and Darth Plagueis influencing the Separatists and the Trade Federation.

As a loooooong time Dakota North fan (I have that poster from the mini series), it has been great to see her show up in DD and become a more visible character in the last decade or so. If PI shows ever made a comeback (RIP Terriers), she would be a good pick for one.

Yeah it sucks, but towing the Shuttle in to L.A. is the only way to get it there since they can't dismantle and re-assemble it. Also, as you mention they are planning to replant more than twice as many trees.
