Congrats, very fun and cool.
I don't know about this particular brand of bootleg, but you could find these all over the place a while after the movie came out. My Sister and I had them and they were colored by a piece of plastic that went over the flash light. I think they had blue, red and green.
That show was mad boring yo! Seriously. You could tell that they blew their budget on the Rick Baker transformation and then resorted to having him turn in to various animals off screen. LOOK A CROW!
Uhh, the SuperHeroHype message boards are from SuperHeroHype.com, CBM is pretty much, as the kids on the internet say, "curating" their content, sans links.
I think you hit the nail on the head, the show incites indifference. I have not watched more than 3 episodes in a row before forgetting to either watch, record or season pass more episodes, because while some of the show can be really good, what happens in between those parts is filled with meh.
"another one of his movie pitches thinly disguised as comic books" - Great quote.
It's very reminiscent of the beginning of Miller's run, before the Ninja showed up.
I agree with most of the commenters. This sounds like typical overheated fanboy reactionary bs. A script is the basis of a movie, as hollywood shows time and time again with re-writes and last minute changes, it's not the whole movie. We don't even know what version of the script this is or if it's the shooting…
Glad to know I am not the only defender of QoS, I thought it was really entertaining.
John Dies at the end is an insane Sci-Fi story deceptively wrapped in a horror shell. It may also be the Evil Dead II of this era.
