Came here to say exactly this! Although I missed the QOTD yesterday as well.

Another reason to engine brake is to cool the engine. If you’re driving spiritedly or just did a run at the drag strip, engine braking will assist with cooling as the engine is no longer burning fuel and producing heat, yet the water pump is still flowing at a higher RPM. If you let it idle in neutral while using the

Unfortunately I’m a victim of this design flaw. Around 75k miles I had to swap in a replacement engine. At the same time, I removed the pre cat and swapped in a cheap stainless manifold and gutted the secondary cat. The butt dyno noticed quite a bump in power without those exhaust restrictions.

I owned an Altima of the same generation with the QR 2.5l 4-cylinder engine, coupled with a 5-speed manual, and that car was a riot! It always felt like it had more power than it led on. I can only imagine how nuts the V6 version was!

While I totally agree with you, I can see how this would be appealing to some who wish to build a badass overlanding rig for a relatively low entry price point. It’s reliable and aftermarket parts are readily available. I’d love to own one, but likely won’t for reasons you’ve mentioned.

These “issues” you bring up aren’t necessarily issues. The rotary engine consumes oil by design. It’s like saying “my chainsaw has issues because it consumes too much oil.”

The story of the abandoned Bugatti Automobili factory!

The speed limit is irrelevant. If you’re moving slower than the person behind you, GTFO of the way. If every driver did this, there would be much less frustration while driving on the freeways, and far fewer accidents.

I don’t understand why law enforcement doesn’t implement fines of this caliber to those who text and drive. Also, those who drive slower than traffic in the left lane.

The only thing Mazespin is good for, is laughs 😂

Yamaha helped develop the engine. You know those guys wanted it to sound epic!

Hmm 🤔 Hard to argue..

I don’t remember where I read this, but years ago I learned that it’s best to place the items on your plate in the shape of a donut before heating in the microwave. In other words, leave the center of the plate empty and arrange your food towards the outer rim of the plate.

This! Came here to say the exact same thing.

Ahh, I see. Thank you for the clarification.

I thought the Bronco was already out? I’ve seen at least half a dozen of them over the last few months. Am I missing something here?

Haven’t heard that song in ages but as I began reading the first four words of your comment, my brain automatically filled in the rest.

This lol
