My biggest surprise so far has been the exhaust note. I thought the GT350 had it’s very unique exhaust note because of the flat-plane crank. If you listen to the GT500 videos, it sounds almost identical but without the screaming redline.

So they’ll be shopping for tips with the diesel bros now? Pipe diameter is what I care about, not tip diameter. That always makes me laugh when you see a big diesel rig with a basketball sized tip and you can see the 3" pipe right behind it. You’re not fooling anyone.
I love that shade of blue.
Regarding the splitter wickers (which is a new term to me) that are removable with a wrench...wouldn’t that mean that virtually every part of a car is removable? You can take my doors off with a wrench. Do I have removable doors? You can take my engine out with a wrench. Do I have a removable engine? You don’t even…
WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY BUT NOT THE MONEY
510/15R20 would be a B to mount.
Coming soon to 4 cylinder automatic near you.
Kind of cool that you can get a base Mustang with a turbo four that makes 310 hp for $25,000 and a supercharged 700 hp 5.0 liter V8 track day Mustang for $60,000. It’s a mustang for every occasion!
The exposed carbon fiber wheels are also part of the Carbon Fiber Track pack. They come from the same company that manufactures the Ford GT’s wheels. At 20 inches wide, they come wrapped in a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
Supercharger: Either the cross-plane crank worked better with boost, or the fact that having a supercharger means you don’t need/can’t have an 8,000+ redline anyway so the flat plane crank would be wasted.
Wondering if it’s worth the trouble at that power level.
I was really hoping that maybe this article would touch on why they chose to go with a cross-plane crank vs the flat plane crank they use in the GT350....
With a clutch so heavy and industrial, your left leg will look like the hulk in about 3 weeks of driving.
It looks like a Cobra in the face, and I think that’s one of the coolest features of the car. Also I was scared of snakes and now I’m scared of cars that look like snakes. Fitting.
I gotta imagine that makes it so much worse, when a dude who looks like he should be in a car insurance commercial puts one up right over your head. I can’t even dribble without tearing a ligament and I’d still be pissed if I lost to a dude who looked like that.
When Ricky Rubio was asked if Joe Ingles talks trash during Utah practices, he shrugged.
Joe Ingles: trash talker of the gods. Body of a rec league dad.
I’m really glad the Transit Connect ST exists, even if its just an engineering exercise. Every time I drive a Connect at work, I think “man, this would be dope with another hundred horse power.”
He didn’t outswim anything, he just offered to pay someone to bring him along and then stiffed them on the bill
While there is, and has been since the 1990s, a chick-fil a on clemson’s campus...the recruit picked Auburn because he didn’t see a chick-fil a when he went on his visit to Clemson.
