This is my new favorite picture (after pictures of my family, if they ask).

Yes, true, I think droopy is a side effect of the “jowl vent everything” school of design.

I don’t know but I’m sure the companies that make those cigarette lighter fuel savers are working on it.

I want to hate it but people would get the F*CK out of your way if they saw that in their rearview mirror.

That too. Everything's squinty right now.

Let’s be real. As with all chrome grilles, the problem isn’t the grille so much as the chrome.

Peeeeeeeeeepa Pig!

Ford Marketing: You’re hired.

I’m not doubting you! Just sounded like that might be Ford’s spin on the subject or something. We’ll probably find out in a few days, I’m sure the question will be asked of Ford. It’s just interesting to me because how do they market one without disparaging the other when it’s a huge engineering difference?

Biggest delta given infinite time, not sure. But biggest delta short term I’d nominate my E60 M5. 100k sticker, 15k today. Best dad car I could come up with for the $ and while maintenance is steep I have no regrets. Awesome car.

That’s what we’ve been hoping for, timing-wise. Strike quick before the GT500 crowd figures out it doesn’t sound as good. Sound is a good percentage of the allure of this kind of car. After a slight valley... I think they will both only appreciate. End of an era, for better or worse.

I look forward to the first few aftermarket exhaust GT500 vids, friend.

COTD

I've seen a few lightly used GT350s for 60k. And man, was I tempted.

Right? My first thought was holy shit wrong car to use the fisheye lens on (or whatever lens did this, I’m no photographer).

That’s an interesting take and I’m curious where you read that. The general assumption has been that it was because the flat-plane configuration couldn’t handle the supercharging. It could very well be both but to me a flat-plane crank in a car like this is a bonus, not a detriment. It sounds amazing.

Because there’s been so much debate about whether the flat plane configuration could handle the boost and still be reliable enough for a full OEM warranty. Now we know that the answer is no.

The only problem here is that this is 3 1/2 years overdue.

Yes.
