I’ve never seen a Wellington recipe with prosciutto. An interesting addition, that little bit of porky richness would balance the mustardy tang and the buttery pastry...

Carving out a niche is all well and good, I did that. I killed it. People I worked with loved me and the attention I paid to each and every person. Then someone from another department thought they should be providing that service. They didn’t tell me, or ask for my advice or assistance in transitioning and training

Last New Years, I made for myself from one box of puff pastry

This is why I recommend Lifehacker to just about everyone. This is the only article I have read today that tells me the story but also what I can do about it.

Check out the 1954 film: Salt of the Earth. The story is based on the 1951 strike at the Empire Zinc company in New Mexico. An amazing story behind the scenes and a great film about the power of women and solidarity.

Do my ears deceive me or does the sound of the Downhornchorus sound exactly like the sound of The Incredible Mr. Limpet’s thrum?

Many years ago, there was another company called Palantir, based in Houston, TX. They wrote a word processing program for CP/M. It competed with the likes of WordStar and WordPerfect. My dad used it on his first computer to write his master’s thesis. I’ve always wondered where the name came from (I’m not a Tolkien

I just tried to run Yakyak 1.2.5 on 10.11.6 and got an error on launch. There is a bug thread on the github site. Sad, but I’ll keep checking back.

Your response is a thing of beauty. I learn so much from the Lifehacker community. I am very grateful to everyone who took the time to respond.

Damn, that’s scary. Thing is, this article is talking about consumer debt. Add debt from home ownership and/or education debt (student loans) and all the other things in the nerdwallet story, it’s startling.
