What’s to confirm? The 3DS version was feature complete to the Wii version and this is the Definitive Edition of the Wii version. Besides the enhancements mentioned in the preview, it's the same game. 

Unfortunately, I cannot exactly remember as this was 8 years ago. What I can remember is that every boss fight in that game has a built in gimmick that you are taught during the fight. You might have to switch out for someone who can seal if your Shulk doesn’t have the ability. Monado Purge or similar? 

You never need to know any of the deeper mechanics to simply beat the main story. Just keep your gear up, level up skills and artes, and maybe craft a gem or two.

Have you seen the models for the background characters? They are as detailed as Terry. Plus Smash Bros lets you fully manipulate its camera to pan, zoom, and rotate all over the arena.

I’m confident this controller would especially not work for Smash Ultimate. Without analog control you lose the ability to walk, perform tilt attacks, short hop, adjust fall speed, crouch on platforms, do any moves with Ryu/Ken, and any other actions that require actual use of analog.
