Mass Effect 2 is not an online FPS.

If you don't buy Wrath of the Lich King or Cataclysm, you can still play WoW, but there are a lot of contests, realms, gear, achievements, and everything else you will be excluded from, just like here. The two seem to mirror each other pretty closely, which is interesting given that they're published by the same

Actually, it seems like this is a promotion of that. Each content pack is a portion of the original multiplayer, and they have released multiple content packs since World at War (maybe even CoD 4- I only remember the 1), and people lap it up.

I pretty much agree with you on your points. They big asterisk though, that I've found from Call of Duty 4 to World at War, to MW2, all the way to Black Ops (didn't buy MW3) is that once the DLC comes out, the # of players for the regular content takes a steep dive, especially as the months go on and more DLC drops.

Personally, would want to avoid it because, you know, it's anal rape. The man part comes a distant second to that, haha.

Nice! Now I have a reason to play that game! w00t! There needs to be like a sub Reddit on hunting down Tigh's guest appearances, haha.

Hearted for that.

Hahaha, nice. Now we just need an uber-mashup of scifi universes, where the events of Terminator 1-3 are the first time, and then the events of BSG happen, leading of course, to now, where we're on a crash course to producing Cylon raiders that form Skynet.

Also, did you know Tigh makes a guest appearance as a surly police captain/chief in Mass Effect 2??

He's one of them!!

You know, you brought up the racism card (though, that's an easily dismissed moot point, if you read my earlier response), but why stop there? Why not produce the sexism card, whereby you can point out that all multiplayer characters are male? Why not bring out the "typical American aggressor" card to describe the

I dunno, I, and a lot of people, could argue it all day. There simply was no homophobia in those phrases.

Racism? The opponents are all white, with the exception of a few black characters on the American side. Unlike Battlefield 2, there is no MEC (Middle East Coalition) or Chinese force here, even in the expansion (which really disappointed me, because I loved that the MEC spoke unfiltered Arabic, which was something

You present a good case here, but I feel that absolutely, the game would 100% be less effective without the "salty" language. This is actually the way fighting forces talk. My sister went into the Navy a straight A, church-every-Sunday, straight edge goody-good. She came out the other side cussing, you guessed it,

Exactly. It's not that I, or a great deal of the commenters, don't understand that someone, somewhere, may someday, somehow find a reason to find these statements to be offensive; it's that the author is a "privileged white" sniveling liberal who is feeling a surge of "white guilt" and decided to pick a fight over a

What? On Xbox Live?? The author is specifically talking about lines of prerecorded dialogue in the game, not users of Xbox Live, or PSN, or Origin, etc.

I'm almost certain there's a game just like that, some bargain bin thing I've seen before. At the very least, you could play Tropico 3 or 4 and *be* the dictator ruling the country. You could pretend you were picked by the CIA to make it more immersive. :-)

Not true!! We lost in Skyline!

The Go'a'uld?

I read it, I was just pointing out that "virtually the same" often leads to big problems in textbooks. I highlighted this fact for you a couple of different ways.
