Wow. I'm kind of blown away right now that you were so open-minded to read the link I posted and reflect on it and reply with such consideration. I really appreciate it! It makes me think that you really are a feminist ally - glad to have you in the ranks! There's so much work to be done. :)

You seem to be moving in the right direction. Here's how I see it. When women are talking about the very real problems facing them, including assault and rape and having to live in a constant fear of those things, they may not always take the time and precision to fastidiously exclude any men who do *not* do those

Has it occurred to you that you might not be the one to determine whether or not feminist commentaries on archeology are needed?

By the way, for some reason, New York excels at having more angry ranting bums per capita than any other city.

This one is killing me:
"Monkey see, monkey do," Kurt Cobain once pondered on "Stay Away." Cobain must have watched a monkey commit suicide, because he did, too.

anyone have a good screenshot of CJ Fair receiving the pass - is he out of bounds? Timothy Burke?

To clarify, the tax is not done at the time of tip-out each night - it's when the server does their yearly income tax - they have to report their earnings from their paychecks PLUS whatever percentage it is of your sales (in my case 9% iirc). They pay income tax on your bill. That is why it matters how much the bill

This is not correct. In most states, the minimum wage does not apply to jobs that receive tips - there is a separate, MUCH LOWER minimum wage for tipped jobs, with the expectation that the tips make up the difference. Here is the chart from the Department of Labor: http://www.dol.gov/whd/state/tipp…

Furthermore,

I had not noticed this - it doesn't appear to me that he hits him, but he definitely gets his hand right up in Smart's face - and yes, I think you're right that's some critical context right there.

This, thank you. Commenting to promote.
