Did we actually hear Dougie 3 say anything other than “Home”?

I sure miss a new Twin Peaks to look forward to every week. Sunday seems so empty now.

“They got no game, now.”

The definitely smell something

This seems like a good time to remind everyone that the Cleveland Indians blew a 3-1 lead.

He’s one of the absolute funniest people. Absolutely killer instincts. Write your thinkpieces taking your contrary positions, it doesn’t matter. Norm rules.

Lucky.

I watched it about 2 weeks ago for the first time. It is terrible in its own unique way that is just fascinating. There also multiple scenes that appear to be sub-plots, but then are never remarked on again. The dialogue is amazingly bad. I also suggest the book that this movie was based on. It gives you some insight

The only other movie I can compare it to is maybe Hotline Miami, which are both such misguided sincere works attempting to be rousing crowdpleasers while also unintentionally conveying the bizarre personal philosophy and history of their creators.

I really hate to use a Matrix reference, but you can’t be told what The Room is, you have to see it for yourself. The Ed Wood comparisons aren’t completely off, btw.

For me, it’s because Wiseau attached so much importance to the story, and it comes through in the movie even through all of the terrible acting and awful production values. There’s a throughline that doesn’t exist in, say, Plan 9 from Outer Space, that somehow everything in The Room is supposed to matter, that it

It’s almost inexplicable. When someone describes Tommy as an alien inhabiting a human host, they really aren’t exaggerating. I can’t imagine anyone else creating a movie like this. It is a genuinely terrible movie, but it’s also completely fascinating.

Unwanted pregnancy, hi-jinks with new family, baby troubles, infanticide, Lynchesque white-noise crescendo. Coherent.

Fish monster love story? The long awaited Troy McClure biopic?

So, the funny thing being that Bardem is 48, and so is Arnofsky. Lawrence is currently dating Arnofsky.

I completely agree I can see why some people were turned off by season 2 even though in my opinion is still a very strong season of television. In a way I think Mr Robot doesn’t get the credit it deserves. Rami Malek definitely should’ve snagged a nomination despite an unfocused season.

“Get me Javier Bardem’s American non-union equivalent!”

This sounds really interesting. I’m totally in. This and the fishmonster love story both coming out in the same week seems odd o me.

If this was a wife with a similarly uncanny valley, sili-dong sporting male doll, would it be any less weird?
