Peak TV problems has no issues nominating the same old tired nominees though. Rami Malek’s performance was very very good in Season 2. Much better than Kevin Spacey and Milo Ventimiglia.
I klnd of have to give him a break on characters saying “Ayuh,” because most of his books take place in Maine and that’s just a thing people say in Maine.
This year’s nominees, except for a few exceptions are kind of terrible. Incredibly repetitive and just boring. It’s like the voters didn’t watch any show and just nominated ones that 1) are perennial nominees regardless of their quality 2) the shows that created the most buzz, good or bad.
I haven’t encountered that yet, but that’s the kind of thing I’m looking for in terms of writing. They have all the pieces, they need to just push a little and be explicit on occasion.
No Tatiana Maslany for Orphan Black’s final season, either. But that’s got to be a timing thing, right?
Clayton hit the nail on the head: the real star of the game is the weaponry. Each gun feels unique and there have been more than a couple that have elicited nothing more than a stream of vowels from me, when firing. My favorite gun right now is a mini-gun called Sweet Business. It’s pointless, wildly inefficient with…
I’m not saying you’re wrong about Mr. Robot, but I do think most people would disagree with you. I think the complexity of the second season turned people off way early on the season and it totally dropped out of the conversation.

Remember when the Fast and Furious movies were about the art?

Fuck your HOA. Use gasoline to burn down their office, like God intended.

All he needs is a bong and jug o’ wine . . .
Trump’s still president and I’m still in the grays. This world is fucked!
If you’re looking to me for answers, you’re doomed.
Seriously, now, when will this nightmare be over? I’ve had a vaguely anxious feeling for months and I’d like it to go away.
Yes! I liked In Bruges, but I loved Seven Psychopaths. It cleverly riffed on and ripped into the whole post-Tarantino wave, the performances were great, it was funny as hell, and Christopher Walken’s tape at the end made me tear up. Walken’s best role in LONG time, and also one of Sam Rockwell’s most entertaining…
