Do you have this same criticism of John Oliver?
Do you have this same criticism of John Oliver?
I know it’s obvious to say we know nothing about these people’s personal lives and it’s ridiculous to project characterisations like ‘wife guy’ onto them, but when I read something like
Right? Not condoning the morals of it, but when you’re young and have energy and foolishness. But who needs the effort now that I’m in my late 30s? I’ve got a hand, and frankly I’d usually rather take a nap than do even that! I’ve known a couple people who have cheated on spouses around this age or older, and the one…
It’s wild to me that anyone could be so invested in a celebrity that they harass someone “for them” YEARS after any alleged misdeed, when all parties have clearly moved on. I get it when people hear gossip and react immediately. I wouldn’t do it but I know kids, emotions, impulsiveness, whatever. The years-long…
For whomever needs to hear this:
I never heard of this guy, and I’m a millenial (albeit an older one). I think most any YouTube star is appealing to younger millenials/Gen Z or younger. Eddie Vedder is a baby boomer (according to my crack internet research), but everyone would consider him a voice of Gen X, not of Boomers.
He’s the CEO and slept with an employee. He’s not fired because of the cheating, it’s the abuse of power.
“But those who knew her best said that even as a child, she also wanted to work in law enforcement, so much so that it was at a Stoughton Police Department youth program that Birchmore—who never knew her father and lost her mother, grandmother and aunt during a three year time period—first met the then-27-year-old…
“Farwell’s friends told the Globe that he began having sex with the girl when she was 15—statutory rape under Massachusetts law.”
DOR is a fucking piece of shit.
I like how Jezebel poses a question to the masses that really should be posed to itself. Having published more than a dozen recent articles about Wilde and Don’t Worry Darling, does Jezebel really care about David O. Russell’s abusive conduct? . . . Or is Jezebel just squeezing yet another post from the desiccated…
Yeah, I mean, Daniel Radcliffe went on to really stretch and improve, and now he’s one of our more interesting stars...but any accomplished actor at Rickman’s level would have seen this gig as daycare back then.
I think the leads in the Harry Potter series have acknowledged publicly that their acting in the early films is pretty bad. I don’t think that’s a knock against them, per se. If you look back at the stuff you were doing at 12, you likely were not doing that stuff at an adult level of quality, and don’t feel bad about…
I love all things Tim Minchin, and that line has stuck with me for years:
Kinja readers: stop posting about his movie, no one cares!
To paraphrase Tim Minchin, just because an idea is lasting or tolerated does not mean it is worthy. Unless you think that the status quo ever has been and always shall be the best of all possible worlds.
I don’t think that’s ever the right response to a person who was manipulated and used up for money as a child.
I don’t understand why Jezebel of all places keeps getting this wrong. Nia Long is undeniably iconic. In fact that whole generation of black women (Sanaa Lathan, Regina Hall, Tracee Ellis Ross, Gabrielle Union etc) are elite. If you want to write about her awesomeness, just do. But his organization does not care that…
What I find so pedantic about this argument is that at six weeks, that electrical pulse is being made by parts of what eventually will become the heart. Not only that, but seeing the pulse and the pulse having a high enough rate are important signs that the pregnancy is viable and the embryo is developing.
Umm, for the same reason we arent watching Beyonce movies right now. He isn’t doing well in movies because he isn’t an actor, he’s a musician.
