Bure has terrible beliefs, but telling a child “not now” when asking for a picture at a red carpet event that included Bure as one of the stars is the most mild “worst celebrity encounter” I’ve ever heard.

I’m not a fan of Bure; not now, not back in the Full House days. But Siwa’s negative interaction was when she was 11? How privileged must you be for that to be your worst celebrity interaction ever?
“And Jesus said: Let he who has not TikToketh cast the first shade.” -Luther 4:20
I’m just going by the quote in the article b/c I did not watch the video, but LOL at Bure advising her followers to be mindful in their interactions with others - not because it’s the right thing to do but because “even a 10 second trending TikTok video can do damage”. Just as Jesus always said.
Editor in chief of Jezebel here: I rarely respond to these comments, but I just feel the need to say here that we are really trying to bring some joy and humor and lightness to the site amid all the serious, horrifying issues we cover. We feel like most of our readers contain multitudes and can appreciate both. It’s…
There are plenty of legit reasons to criticize the writing on this site. Getting mad at them for doing what is literally in their byline isn’t one of them.
My friend the tagline for the site is literally “Sex. Celebrity. Politics.” If you’re looking for only serious coverage of serious issues you have come to the wrong place.
I keep seeing articles, but I’ve never actually met someone who hates self-checkout.
We all have that one friend who is like Jlo: she jumps from relationship to relationship with no time in between, is in love with being in love, every relationship is the love of her life, etc.
It’s eye roll inducing, but also genuine for them, so like, I can only hate so much. I wish her well, but oof... he seems…
When you are making a sauce and it’s too thin, you could make a slurry of flour and milk and slowly pour it in, or you could just sprinkle in some potato flakes.
Well, this. And even the purely physical aspect is not that simple. It will sound macho, but you actually have to be able to “use it” to have any good feeling about it. What is not automatic as it may seem when two people are married. More when a woman is pregnant or mother for weeks or months.
This is some lazy, hack-y shit. Saying “inexplicably” somehow ignores all the established psychological understanding of infidelity and how it works. Do better. For fuck’s sake.
If you want to see a film where a young woman does choose to have an abortion, watch Grandma, starring Lily Tomlin and Julia Garner.
Just had a party for my 6 year old in our backyard last weekend. Wendy’s has 50 chicken nuggets for $12.00. A couple of those and a few large fries, plus some mini water bottles, and we were all set. Everyone was happy and we didn’t have to spend much at all.
America will absolutely stand for it. I think what people miss about the book The Handmaiden’s Tale which the show barely addresses was that everyone did accept it through indifference and/or blindness. They kept saying “this will never happen,” “someone will stop it,” etc. except no one did because by the time it was…
Omg same! I worked with a woman that told me to my face that a woman isn’t really a woman until she’s given birth. That she (a woman) doesn’t understand what it really means, or feels fully a woman, until she’s carried a child.
First of all, who cuts a frozen pizza before cooking it? Secondly, you’re wrong. Amy’s is the best of the lot. Must have been user error in cooking and/or eating.
When I make Shepard’s pie I use instant mashed potatoes in so I can get the dish into the oven faster.
I like the instant ones. Doing it homemade you run the risk that if you mix/mash them for to long they get gummy.
I’m glad to see Red Baron rank so highly on your list!
