You’re probably right that the sex tape hype intrigued Seacrest. I had this false memory that Ryan Seacrest was a family friend and from observing them he was like “This would make a great show.” But you’re right that Kris was shopping the show idea.

I likely won’t have many people agree with me, but I think she would likely be just as famous without the sex tape. It was Ryan Seacrest and her goofy family that got her to a level of fame that was sustainable. I think if the sex tape never existed the show still would have been a hit.

Yuck, and he said they are writing a show about it. I hope that in writing the show, it illuminates to her how f-ed up their relationship dynamic is.

If I know someone and they just suddenly had a brand new baby, I might say something to the effect of “Oh, I didn’t realize you were expecting!” But yeah, I probably wouldn’t say “Where did you get that baby?”
