The Brute was developed by AEV alongside Chrysler, so I'd expect the Jeep to be very similar to the AEV truck.

True, Apple didn't take that approach years go. You used to be able to upgrade them like any other consumer computer, with the same parts as a Dell or HP. They are far more beautiful when you Crack the case open, though. I almost mounted my old G5 Xserve on the wall, splayed open.
After ten years, a used Mac is still useful. I've never had a Windows system last that long or end up as more than a paperweight. Sure they cost more, but you get what you pay for.

Reminds me of James SA Corey’s Expanse series, life in the Belt. A politician proposes an air tax hike and ends up out an airlock without a suit.
Uh, I think you misunderstand what Adam Smith was describing when he wrote about the market’s Invisible Hand. A free market cannot exist when corporations are protected by the government from competition and liability.
On a side notes, Heinlein’s Moon is a Harsh Mistress is finally getting adapted into a film, woohoo! It's a great book that shows how good life can be for the entirety of a society were we to simply cast off government. Anything less than anarchy would be uncivilized.
Companies also pass taxes on to employees, not just consumers. When taxes are increased, workforces get cut, production gets cut. Yeah, great public policy for dealing with complicated issues.
Like we need to increase taxation at any level...
Just bury it in abandoned salt mines like we do nuclear waste. Let future generations figure it out!
I wouldn't pay more than $4,567 for that krautcar.
One of the things I’m most impressed with is the potential for Echo to help people with disabilities improve their quality of life through technology. Sure, I love that technology can help me be more lazy, but think about people with visual impairments being able to tell Alexa to make a phone call, use the ever…
I remember when the Pirate Bay used to post takedown letters on their site. Good on Jalopnik for keeping this public and shaming the bullies. It's good to know some medical outlets are still concerned about privacy and individual rights. I'm surprised Honda didn't go to the NSA first...
She’s gone from suck, to blow.

We love our CarMax LR3, and the wonderful extended warranty (no owner of a British car should ever find themselves making monthly payments without one). I find myself leaning toward a Land Cruiser this time, and while it may not have the Land Rover character, I prefer to go overlanding in vehicles that don’t require…
Kinja is finally reaching great heights.

Part of the problem is that there almost no middle ground. There are people deathly terrified of inanimate objects, and there are gun nuts why rely on centuries-old laws. Sure, evil people don’t care about gun laws, or anyone else’s right to safety for that matter. Ignoring laws is what defines criminals, and no law…
I find your lack of lens flare disturbing.
My backpacks got jets.
Sounds like the stories my wife told me about growing up in a sports car family, specifically riding in the back of a two seat Z car.
