I don’t buy an overpowered laptop because I need it “right now”. I buy it because it’s got the latest hardware, and will (hopefully) last longer than buying the bare minimum spec machine.

100% agreed. Macs are overpriced, overpowered and quite unnecessary for 95% of the population, but for some reason people insist on spending $1000+ on a laptop to make their amazon purchases and send email. Such a waste of money. Although....the same could be said for our phones....so i’m guilty there. I just can’t…

Just work through the societal guilt and enjoy the bliss of not doing anything for a few hours. Old people have figured this out a long time ago.

I am glad to see this is a thing and not just me. The stress they refer to I feel as guilt for what I perceive as “wasting time” when I have so much I could or should be doing. I have to be severely sick to do “nothing” and even then I have to tell myself that healing is not wasting time (but it still feels like it).

Don’t forget the elk liver. Best one I ever had was fried up on a camp stove about 3 hours after we packed out the elk. It was amazingly tender, moist, and flavorful.

Hunting is boring, peaceful, frustrating, physically taxing, and sedentary all at once, and for some reason I want to do it again next year.

I usually just cut the broccoli lengthwise for roasting so each piece has a long stem with some floret on top.  They end up looking sort of like broccolini, but without as much skin so not as tough.
