I WISH Telltale games had "nice environments to explore". If I could walk around a little bit and feel like I was actually there I think I would enjoy them a lot more - in my experience they're more like strings of interactive cut scenes.

Speaking of sonic, let's take a moment and commemorate the possibly funniest headline in AV Club history: http://www.avclub.com/artic…
Didya see this slam of two current Russian-English translators? It's pretty juicy: http://www.nybooks.com/arti…
A save crystal, the safe haven. Such a betrayal!
My favourite squad member (Wrex) in Mass Effect died and I foolishly didn't have a save far enough back to save him! As I had also started to become more and more interested in doing a renegade run I decided to just start over, so now I'm back just finishing up the initial Citadel bit (by the way I wish you could…
I played some sort of fan edited version of FFX once with the original voices, it made a world of difference. Yuna's character in particular just makes so much more sense as a Japanese girl.
Hm… there's co-op? For the main campaign or, like, custom multiplayer levels - if you understand what I mean?
I think I would connect more with the worlds in Telltale games if I could just walk around a little and explore in between dramatic dialog choices… feel like I'm really there and not just on the outside looking in, you know?
RE: Combat - the only thing I didn't love about DA:I
I would like a lot more tactical control over the AI of the companions, a little like FFXII maybe, but with action-based gameplay for the main character. DEFINITELY a lot fewer battles. Maybe a bit more puzzle/stealth going on? Like, set traps for wildlife, or cause…
I'm playing Mass Effect for the first time!
I think what makes Uncharted in particular stand out in this regard is 1) Drake doesn't have altruistic motives unlike say James Bond or Solid Snake and 2) (often, not always) the goons don't particularly come after Drake - they're just payed to protect a private island or whatever and he decides this is worth…
Yes, loved the submarine!
Exactly. I've played RPG:s since I was a child and never had a problem with the violence, because it used to be so abstract. Now when playing stuff like Dragon Age: Inquisition I feel a little uncomfortable using fire spells on enemies; they panic and scream in agony.
And every time they solve the final riddle and find the map at the heart of the tomb the bad guys show up in the doorway behind them all like "Yoink!"
Thank you for your wonderful contribution to this comment section.
Me too, El Marinero. It's when they changed what "it" was.
Only about 70 minutes for me.
Really didn't care for the FFXV demo. Grabbing crystals suspended in mid-air like coins in Super Mario? Stepping on random buttons triggering meaningless (from what I could tell at least) changes in the environment? Daddy issues again? Disconnected environments with no sense of place á la the FFXIII-trilogy (somewhat…
I didn't get it either and just spammed the GF:s summoning attacks over and over and over. It was really tedious.
Almost every JRPG ends up with you, humble farmboy, as the leader of the free world. But in this case it’s strangely inexplicable. Headmaster Cid steps down because he’s unfit to lead the quest to kill his own wife, the possessed Edea. Who better to take charge of the whole operation than Squall, student in his senior…
