But that’d be dirty socialism. The American corporations demand government intervention in all facets like the good Lord and red-blooded CAPITALISM demand!
Sir, the overhead bins are simply not equipped to handle the amount of baggage you are carrying.
So if I’m reading this right, not only did he tear up the lake bed, but a whole bunch of other trucks came to tear it up more because of him?
Yeah great jobs asshole ruining the lake bed while playing weekend warrior.
If all those “concerned” off-roaders would have crowdfunded, they could have gotten a heli to lift that thing out of there.
30+ mpg hwy in a fulltime awd wagon that weighs 3600 lbs is pretty good, and dare I say above average for its category.
Today you can’t really just turn some screws to temporarily limp a car along until you can afford a better fix. Now most ‘devices’ can be cleaned or replaced and thats it.
The first two model years had conservative programming on the oil injection flow, resulting in accelerated housing/seal wear. The improvements in 2006 and dealer provided updates did help, but they really need pre-mix to further mitigate the wear.
The apex seals are not the primary point of failure, the ignition coils were/are. The stock ones are only good for about 20k miles (designed for piston engines but fire three times as often).
Let me offer the perspective of someone who went there two years ago, about a week after the first article was published, in the effort to buy his grey 16v scirocco:
I called him wednesday that week to ask if he still had it. he said he did. we negotiated a price of $800 and i told him I would be there between 1-2pm on…
Id hate to live next to someone that has basically a junk yard as a property. My home’s value can easily be depressed by that and its an eyesore. Just because its your property doesnt mean that your actions dont have consequences
You have to wonder what his plans were for those cars. He doesn’t even seem like a capable mechanic, or he would’ve fixed the forklift first.
Ron, I’ve said this before, and I’m saying it again- You deserve no slack or sympathy. You hoarded these cars with no realistic plan to ever have them on the road. People came and asked you to sell them, and you laughed at them and sent them on their way. You gloated over all the “rare”, “Worth something”, “Perfectly…
I mean... you do see the difference between a complex mechanical device and a shovel right?
We all should just take a gamble. Is this car with 10K miles on it a few months old, or 3 years old? Exactly how many farts are stuck in these seats? Buy it to find out!
Same with humans, why slap a year on them? Virtually unchanged for centuries now.
Also folks, just because you see a 2018 on the lot don’t automatically expect it to be a better deal than a 19, which is likely "leftover" at this point. Some brands have dialed back factory rebate support for the 2018 cars and since the dealer cost is the same, the stores may not be able to offer a better deal…
Ironically the side of that truck says “Plumbing done right the 1st time” in Arabic
But the dealer didn’t give you a better deal, Mazda gave you a rebate. If you bought one of those Mazdas from a different store you would have still gotten the same rebate.
