Amen sister!

But in defense of show trucks, at least the owners aren't pretending they're work trucks. They were (purpose built) to be the star of the show and not get dirty.

I couldn't agree more, I loathe these things.

I would love to move beyond this world where anything referring to women is somehow considered "less than."
It drives me crazy at our go-kart club when I win my races and the second place finisher (frequently my husband) gets cat calls about losing to a girl. So... second place is somehow not as shameful if first

Thank you, well-said!

- Excellent environment for anyone who loves the outdoors or cars (not a factor for everyone, but I felt it important to note here)

Yes, yes they are. Thank you!

This one started out as a farm truck as well. My family are only the second owners. They are such nice looking vehicles, the lines flow really nicely. It too didn't run all that well when my dad first bought it, there were flames erupting out of the glove box on one particularly memorable drive. Pre-rebuild of course.

pics? Would love to see another. There aren't many Dodge trucks of that vintage around.

I wouldn't rule that out, it had a whole lot of bugs when we first got it back. I suspect it would be better now.

It's got a 360 stroked to 409. 500 hp at the flywheel, it dynoed 380 at the rear wheels. 727 torque flight tranny with a 9" Currie rear end, 4-link suspension with 4:10 running gear.

"We make fast cars that make a lot of noise...'Murica. Fuck Yeah!"

When I was 17, my dad bought a 1977 911. All of my previous attempts to learn to drive a manual had been embarrassing. I got it in the first trip in the Porsche. 20-years later this is the only car my dad has kept for any length of time and we still bond over it. They are such fun, amazing little cars. You never

Hasten the day. Top Gear has got a lot to answer for but one of its leading offences has been to outlaw cars as a subject for discussion in the presence of women. You can get away with politics or business at a dinner party (subjects that used to be forbidden in what was known as polite company). You might even be

My takeaway from Doug's articles is this:
Buy a Land Rover on CarMax and get the extended warranty. It's like getting to drive 7 cars for the price of one!

I humbly suggest a fourth type: The person who used to own the same car/something similar and will be taking you on a trip down their memory lane, no matter what.

I drove a white and blue 1983 K5 Chevy Blazer in 1994. Lord Almighty, how I resented that stupid Bronco chase. "It's a Chevy, not a Ford. It's a Blazer, not a Bronco." Like talking to a string of brick walls.

So texting and driving is perfectly okay in China?

How does a vandal setting fire to a car fall into the common sense category? That is nowhere near a common or expected reaction to posting jealousy-inducing photos on social media.

The people who are off the road in the center of the median I get. The people who are stopped on the actual highway deserve to be punted out of the way. Fit a semi with a snowplow and send it through!
