I think it's a reference to resting on their laurels

Ha! These are hysterical. My co-worker actually traded his manual MINI for an automatic due to doctor's orders for a bad hip. He definitely feels better despite the constant teasing he gets.

I have two:

Oh der. I knew that. *facepalm*

I was holding out hope that someone would make the Focus ST into a real competitor for the STi. I adore my Subie but it would be really cool to have an equivalent American car to choose from on dealership lots. With as well as the Foci have been doing in WRC and Global Rallycross and the success of the STi and Evos

They actually do that here. They have racing seasons with teams and sponsors and another series for endurance. Pretty good prizes too, better than our local (real) kart club.

Sorry Alex but there's no way in Hell, even with a head sock, that I'm wearing one of the facility-provided helmets. July in Arizona should explain my reasoning adequately.

I doubt it, this guy didn't know a jack isht about the cars he was selling. I'm 100% certain it was an out-of-the-box NISMO 350z. I heard he was fired not too long after this for general assholery. He was a piece of work.

I had a sales manager at a Nissan dealership tell me that the NISMO 350z they had on display had extra work done to it, including a turbo AND a supercharger. I really enjoyed that conversation.

I adore your son and I adore the "Will it Baby?" series. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Alex, thanks for this article. I was in a one-on-one battle in my kart race yesterday and as I got over-excited and spun out trying to pass the guy in front of me, your advice (and your coaches advice) popped into my head. I spent the next 5 laps catching the guy, studied him and his lines and eventually caught him in

My vote goes to Travis Pastrana for sheer volume of crazy things attempted and in so many different disciplines: MX, FMX, Rally, Monster Truck, BASE jumping, Sky diving, NASCAR, Nitro Circus... What hasn't he tried?

My first vehicle was a 1983 Diesel K5 Chevy Blazer. I literally drove the wheels off that thing and I still miss it. :-(

I'd love to get the A3 wagon as a real manual. Not a big fan of their flappy paddles.

Ha, that's awesome! I'm pretty convinced that the car people who complain are just secretly jealous that they can't easily wheelie their four wheelers.

Score one for the good people. Peace and strength to Connor and his family, I hope his last days are just as awesome as this one.

I really enjoy your writing, thanks for sharing your stories!

He definitely needs to rely on a G-Wiz. They'd either die laughing or not believe it.

It's just bizarre to me that Jag would choose this route to introduce a new vehicle in Pebble Beach. That's not PB style at all!

We are exploring two methods for teaching our girls to love cars the way we do:
