I still believe the Raptors will dethrone the Cavs/Lebron in the east this year, but I would definitely not bet on it happening.
I was defintely agreeing with you. I was just adding on to what you wrote
20 years from now if you ask someone what they remember about the 2018 ncaa tournament it’ll be UMBC.
They overachieved for sure but they were 1 point away from going undefeated in ACC play. They weren’t some fluky team
It felt like for every hustle play he made he committed a stupid foul or took a bad shot
I’m not trusting him in the playoffs though. And I’m also not convinced that the Thunder are a real threat in the playoffs. Donovan is a mediocre coach, they have little depth, the defense has been mediocre to awful since Roberson went down and they’ve been very inconsistent all season. That’s not a recipe for playoff…
Harden has definitely never beaten a player off the dribble or hit a contested jumper. Do you even watch basketball?
I’m not sure either. I kind of like it tbh. I like hearing the crowd swell to a huge roar when a putt is rolling towards the cup.
I was at that game and the Nuggets defenders were so undisciplined they kept reaching almost every time Harden had the ball on the perimeter. It was frustrating as hell. It got really bad before the end of the first half.
He basically averages the same numbers in the regular season and playoffs. I actually think the biggest factors his postseason “failures” are fatigue and he hasn’t had a truly great team with the rockets until this year. Besides last year they’ve performed exactly as their seeding would indicate. I would argue he’s…
My Chris Paul hot take is he should’ve won mvp the year Kobe won his.
It’s a shame because outside of the foul-baiting I find his game enjoyable. The example above is absolute bullshit and the league needs to find a way to cut it out of the game. If you watch more Rockets games though you’ll see most of the foul calls Harden gets are actual fouls. Which is frustrating.
Great writing as always.
Conference of Champions!
First, kudos to Buffalo. They were coached better and played inspired. I would not be surprised if they get past Kentucky.
Man, I wish Kevin Calabro was still doing national games. I think he’s the best nba play by play announcer.
You know who’s the most low key traveler in the nba is? Klay. He doesn’t handle the ball enough for it to be obvious but I swear he gets away with it all the time.
I would say the first year he went to the finals he didn’t have the best team in the east. The Pistons were probably better overall but Lebron was far and away the best player. The same goes for the second series against the Warriors.
