... and the NEX camera has better mobility. There are trade-offs either way but the NEX camera does take great photos. Granted with fewer controls it can take a little while to get used to it.

For that it will depend on the TV. The C8000 plasma I own has a good anti reflective coating, however LCDs (and LED LCD) can usually get brighter so they can remain more viewable in direct sunlight.

I will second what Kitsune said, go with plasma if possible. I currently have a 58 inch samsung plasma and couldnt be happier with it. Great pic and great features. If you have a "Video Only" nearby they usually have killer prices and will negotiate.

I just want to point out that there are times where those two goals align.
