I’ve never seen any of the “classic” rom coms, so today I watched “When Harry Met Sally” and “Sleepless in Seattle.” Loved the first one, am meh about the second one.

Kesha is killing it and that snub was bullshit. I don’t get the appeal of Ed Sheeran at all.
I know you did not just bash my soulmates-in-parallel-universes Leonard Cohen and Chris Cornell! ;-)
I guess my graduating class is planning a reunion, and I’m a little nervous about it. I’ve accomplished a fair ampunt career-wise since graduating but I was bullied pretty bad in high school. I told myself I would go when the time came so I’m sticking to that goal. I’m proud of myself, dammit, and I have done more…
I saw “Secretary” recently and it made me so angry that she even ripped off the name “Mr. Grey.” Seriously?!
“career obsessed banshees who forgo home life and children and the happiness of family to become nail-biting manophobic hell-bent feminist she devils who shriek from the top of a thousand tall buildings”
Idk why some men can’t understand “I love having sex with women”=/= “I love women.”
I’m fond of: “Great joke/comment/insult! Did you come up with that all by yourself?”
If you all can find it, Tamika Mallory gave an excellent speech in LV on Sunday. Idk why it’s not getting more press, but it’s worth a listen.
I think Keegan and Jordan are both babes! I would not object to being in the middle of a Key and Peele sammich ;-)
If you haven’t watched “The Path,” you should. It’s very well-written, interesting, and Aaron Paul is surprisingly hot as a caring father. It’s one of my favorites and highly underrated IMO.
I knew it! And I love it!
Right? I was going to say Cullen!
Definitely. My husband has been looking for work for over a year. He is able-bodied, experienced, hard-working, dependable and wants to work and just cannot get hired - I believe because there is so much competition out there.
Most of my extended family (who are like 90% white, which, in thinking about, it is kind of fucked up) are such assholes they don’t even bother to show up to those types of events. I’m largely estranged from almost all of them. My only living grandparent did not come to my wedding because they don’t approve of my…
Omg just started reading them - thank you for the recommendation - I needed this today!
I think the most important thing is to make sure she knows you’re there for her, and to maybe get her thinking about an escape plan. Maybe throw it into casual conversation - like “I read this story the other day about this woman who was abused. She faked an illness to get to the hospital so she could get out.”…
Yeah. I always feel a little guilty because they’re my family and I love them, and we’ll be having a fine time until they start saying offensive things and ruin it. When I was younger I’d always hoped they would eventually come around but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. It makes me sad that they live with…
I am a fellow filthy liberal child of Trumper parents, so I can relate. I’m visiting my family now too and my patience has juuuust about run out. Thankful to have SNS tonight to distract me!
Any advice? The hubby has been out of work for about a year and I know he’s depressed and starting to lose hope - what can I say to encourage him?
