"The Force Awakens" is the foundation of X number of films to follow. Essentially, instead of a complete film (proper beginning, middle, end), JJ Abrams delivered the pilot episode of the new series. Didn't matter to me, I dug it the most.

Kind of what I expected or laughs (aka sneering).
Definitely Chapter One of a new serial so a lot of "The Force Awakens" is set up w/o proper payoffs (ala "Empire Strikes Back"). Didn't bother me in the least. The film's real strengths are the great set of new characters all played by a very intriguing set of actors.
Of course not, it's even taken over the screens at the International Space Station!
Yes! Now, if the Cinerama Dome can push Stars Wars aside for a week or so to get "Hateful" in for a real 70mm viewing…
Agreed. I love seeing the IV byline.
"Munich" is a masterpiece.
THE worst.
Did they think The Dalai Lama was going to drop $2M on a record?
For those who have never "heard" Sinatra: https://www.youtube.com/wat…
I stand corrected and am somewhat comforted that the Shane Black Christmas tradition continues.
I love when they do that. They used old school Warner logos on "Magic Mike" & "The Man From UNCLE", too. Beautiful.
Waitaminute. I didn't see any Christmas trees in that trailer. Are we SURE Shane Black wrote & directed it? Btw, I'm 100% in for this.
Not to mention it's very much a Shane Black movie. Proof? Set during Christmas! Among other reasons.
I dug it, too. It's a trippy film with a number of great moments.
Mr. Eddy!
"Overnight" was a godsend in the age of Reagan.
"Runner!"
ZAP!!!!!!
That's right! I had forgotten that. Weird, you would think those two groups would match perfectly (fan wise). Aging is a merciless on everyone.
Just watched Twilight Time's "Emperor of the North" w/Lee Marvin, a very young Keith Carradine and a wild-eyed, sadistic Ernest Borgnine. Helluva film & a beautiful transfer.
