"American Graffiti" is a masterpiece. THE movie for which George Lucas should be remembered.

I saw "U.N.C.L.E." yesterday in a 3/4 empty theater. I was absolutely delighted by it and am somewhat baffled by the mixed (or worse) reviews it's getting. Actually I shouldn't be too surprised by the reviews. I imagine this thing was dismissed by most critics before they had a look.
"The Man From U.N.C.L.E." is loads of fun. Very much as it is intended: a light, 60's era spy movie set in great looking locations with a great looking cast in great looking clothes. It is a surprisingly adult movie. Adult in the sense that back in the 60's even the silliest films were targeted at grown ups. Is it…
Watch as the MCU gets the rights to the "FF" back, do exactly that and the movie(s) is a smash. Damn pointy-head directors & studios out think themselves on stuff like this. It's an adventure story. Stop undermining the material and run with it. Oh well, Hollywood is now a big 0 for 4 with the "FF".
Like Charlize Theron in "Fury Road", Rebecca Ferguson steals "Rogue Nation". Topping herself scene after scene (action & acting) I kept thinking, "Who IS this woman?" Hopefully a real star is born.
Saul Rubinek as the always red-faced "Lee Donowitz" is never not funny. "Choose a fuckin' lane!!!! Don't give me the finger! I'll fucking have you killed!!!!"
You shouldn't because 99 out of the 100 who say it, say it with PRIDE.
Love, love, loved that series! The Moloids will always be my favorites.
Pitching woo to the Jen!
"Indecent exposure?!?!?! Red Meyers!?!?!"
Whoopsie! 2014.
I nearly made it through all of 2015 without a single Chris Berman TV encounter. I stumbled at a family gathering in late December with the dread four-letter word network on the big screen.
She sided with (or against) her brother in, I think, a custody battle. Whichever side was against her parents and then…BOOM.
I saw her a number of times at the UCBLA when she did Jen Kirkman's Talk Show & Jen Kirkman's "Have-A-Sum-Uh". She's a real sweetheart & a real delight (aka damn funny). At the "Have A Sum-Uh" show she had to throw out what may have been the drunkest woman I have ever seen in my life. Have a Sum-uh!
Thank you!
Thank you! That's one series I've hoped against hope would somehow find a new release.
Any chance the original Moench/Gulacy run will ever see the light of day in trade format? I would love an omnibus of that.
I'm a native born Southerner and had avoided seeing "Gone With The Wind" for years. I finally broke down and saw it a few years ago. Despite my reservations I really enjoyed the movie. However, rather than a celebration of the old South, I was struck by how all the Southerners/Secessionists are wrong about everything…
Who says things have changed? Summer reruns return to theaters this summer!
"New meat! You dudes gonna love the Nam."
