You started this thread in an article about Elizabeth Holmes. I don’t know what you expected.

Okay, it is not just you, lots of people are doing this so maybe it’s my fault. But the third sentence of my post is about the broader harms, and it follows two sentences that are critical of Holmes and her behavior. I genuinely am confused as to how so many people think I’m defending Holmes specifically.

We are talking specifically about Elizabeth Holmes, not every single person who has been incarcerated. Maybe save this sympathy for someone who deserves it.

That’s assuming an innocent person is being hurt in this case.

Know what else hurts innocent people? Giving them false medical tests.

I think you and I saw a very, very different movie.

It will torture antiwokes and people who liked the original forever.

They’re not so much going to bat for Disney as they’re acknowledging the predictable reaction of certain people.

I watched that show. It was not good. It’s own poor quality got it cancelled.

They don’t want to have sex with Luis.

I haven’t seen anything criticizing the new voice actress for not being “sultry” enough.

I’m not even sure if you can say Ada is less “sexy”. She wears a tight sweater dress that shows off her body even without showing skin and stiletto boots that wouldn’t be out place on a dominatrix. Maybe the voice takes them out of the moment but since when do these types care what a woman has to say.

I think her performance works for what it is. Ada is apathetic and detached. Such a personality doesn’t make for a very lively person to listen to.

Isn’t Horizon supposed to be some post-apocalyptic story? Why would anyone be expecting the women to like super models in such a game? Not that the complaining would be justified otherwise.

I think Gao’s take sort of makes sense for Ada in this game. She’s supposed to be apathetic and detached, which doesn’t make for the most excitable person to listen to. Maybe a better actress would have conveyed that better (I’d have picked Kelly Hu or Gwendoline Yeo) but I don’t think it’s all that bad. 

Keep in mind that in this game, Ada still wears stiletto boots, a figure-hugging outfit and the model viewer shows her with jiggle physics. And that still wasn’t enough for these morons.
