ND - I love panther platform cars and one with a manual is really tempting, but help me out with the logic here. You do all that work, upgrading and replacing. Detailing the shit out of the exterior, etc... and then you have this fucking rag instead of a proper leather nut sack on the shifter???
a steering wheel for ants?!
What?
Three time major market multiline m/c dealership service manger here (NYC, L.A. and SF bay area)
Exactly. The second you decide to race an Integra in your Viper, you’ve already lost. Because even if you win... well, congratulations your 8.4 L V10 managed to beat a 2.0 L 4 cylinder Japanese tuner car.
Death. Don’t forget death.
Am local. Pretty sure this is the original of your footage:
It predates the referenced tweet a couple days.
Lol, just because we have great credit doesn’t mean we have bushels of money.
Lemme guess, the tires were off by 1.5 PSI too?
The international banking industry is a conspiracy designed to keep the worker bees in their lane, and allow the moneyed elite to play with their lives for fun and profit. Credit agencies are part of that system. And I say this as someone who has worked hard enough to have an 850 score. I go to a dealership to shop a…
Your initial credit pull dropped your score. It’s more pronounced when you have derogatory or limited credit to begin with.
Yep. My car is somewhat quick, but I quickly realized that there is no benefit to racing anyone on the street. The best possible outcome is you prove what everyone already knows or expects, that your car is faster/slower than the other. There are numerous bad outcomes, including arrest, crashing, the other guy…
Challenge the credit pulls on your credit report with the 3 credit bureaus. They are required by law to investigate and get proof of the pulls. If the dealerships does not show proof of your agreement to have it pulled within 30 days, they are required by law, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, to remove them.
That struck me, too. You have all this shouting, egging the drivers on to race, and then it’s all, “Oh, shit! Oh, fuck! How could this have happened?”
Those guys yelling “You have to! You HAVE to!” are lucky no one got hit and injured/died.
I am fortunate to have an excellent credit score and very little debt, but it makes my blood boil that the mere act of applying for credit lowers one’s score. I deeply resent that we are dependent on the big credit bureaus, but we have no say in their operations, not do they have much regulatory oversight.
His insurance company will not be amused when they see the video.
These drag races are dumb, but this is even dumber. What is the absolute best outcome? You prove you're faster than... an Integra? Does this surprise anyone? In the meantime, you might lose or worse.
For fuxsake, Dennis. Did you really feel it necessary to race a clapped out Integra?
