I love that show, but the ratings and the buzz around it have both been pretty modest. Also, it's the final season (i.e. they have canceled it prior to the new season even airing) and they're gonna have to replace it with something — hopefully not another mediocre white guy drama akin to Vinyl or True Detective S2.

A show that is supposed to (possibly, tentatively) premiere almost 3 years after shooting a pilot, which was greenlit even prior to that, is always a great sign of an untroubled production.

HBO would like you to stop publicly acknowledging that.

Well, it's not as if HBO has anything else that garners much positive attention or excitement right now. Their drama lineup is currently a mess.

And his podcast (Blank Check with Griffin and David) is a thing of beauty.

Aw, I like Sims.

AD probably deserves regular coverage as well, but The Detour is pretty good show so far.

Oh crap, y'all are Star-Wars-Weeking this.

Username/comment synergy.

Oh yeah, The Magicians is pretty good. If they fix the pacing next season it has potential to be one of the best genre shows airing on TV.

The Expanse was great, though. The most exciting science fiction show I've seen in years. Very good production values, as well.

Yes, NBC sure passes on shows because of quality. That is certainly a thing. (NBC doesn't give a fuck.)

I can't see why someone would not want you around.

You only talk shit about the AVCAD in every other thread, no big deal.

Your constant whining about being banned from the Avocado is bringing me great amusement, by the way. Keep it up.

Counterpoint: MLA is the best and anyone who downvotes her is most likely a shitbird.

Fuck this nonsense we've heard a million times.

I found Jurassic World almost equally abysmal. There was no fawning.

So the trailer had pretty much the entire movie's plot (except the ridiculous details)? Huh.

Sounds like a Triple-A video game.
