Venture Bros Fans: Oh my sweet summer child...

I mean, I was in undergrad when Venture Brothers started. There were children born the year it was started that are old enough to stay up and watch it now.

It’s definitely an ongoing thing with Adult Swim. Brendon Small had to fight for every season of Metalocalypse despite its success, and the Venture Bros keeps getting shorted on episode orders. Adult Swim seems to thrive on squandering good will.

My institution missed out on a chance to participate in this, as we’re on spring break this week (and we’re a college, so our “walkout” participation would’ve been markedly different than a public K-12 school), but any educator who seeks to restrain their students from exercising…

I got so sick of the Vonn stuff - so much hype and so overdone. Every moment of quasi dead air was filled with some sort of Vonn tribute video and between these were the commercials featuring Vonn hawking something.

This is a major pet peeve of mine during the games. The entire woman’s alpine skiing broadcasts, mens snowboarding half-pipe, and woman’s snowboarding half-pipe is spent discussing 1 American in each event. If Vonn’s skiing...she’s all they discuss. If Schiffren is skiing she’s the topic. Same for Shaun White and…

This isn’t his fault, but I got really annoyed at the part where they showed the run of the woman who went immediately after Vonn, and then as soon as she was done they cut to a slow-mo replay... of Vonn’s run. Fuck that!

You know, he’s ok. He’s really not doing anything special. He’s got a good voice, but not a great one, not the best we’ve heard. It’s just, these early conditions set up to make it much easier to quarter-ass your way through an analyst gig that you really don’t deserve.

I think that the undercover and commando nature of Wraith Squadron would work well in a TV series. That way there can be a lot of ground-based missions or infiltrating Imperial ships. Rather than blowing the whole budget on the space battles. Along the lines of Stargate SG-1/Atlantis or Farscape.

It was complete drivel talking about how beautiful things were. They gave nothing of substance that expanded the performance. They mostly took away making it impossible to hear the music, talking or singing.

When the Olympics roll around I always remind people to find the CBC or BBC feeds if they can.
