I would be remiss if I pointed out this is not an investment as there is no financial return, they spent money on an activity they enjoy.

Doubt anything will change. The damage has already been done. Even though the allegations were proven false, people still believe that Avellone might be a creep and therefore don’t want to risk any association with him.

Wow, at least Nintendo/TPC still lets us play the beta that is Pokemon Scarlet/Violet while they complete the game in the form of DLC.

I doubt it. This was an open beta. That content will still be there in the full-game.

People will be mad but this was an open beta. The content will be there when the game launches fully next year  I get being upset, but it’s not like those characters and such have just disappeared forever. Betas end and games launch, this was going to happen at some point.

Definitely, but as someone who grew up with E3 being such a huge deal for games and gaming news, it’s kinda sad for the institution to die. I remember when I was a teenager in the early 2000s, I wanted nothing more than to be able to go to E3 and play the pre-release versions of these games and get to see all the

I love the hot takes from people who are taking their level 1-25, fraction of chapter 1, fraction of a skill tree, non-BiS, non-meta, non-endgame, single weekend experience, and just...mapping that across the entire game.

Everyone buys assets even the AAA studios. Games are just too big to make everything from scratch every time. Everything from full animations, textures/materials, fonts, code/scripts/programs, 3d/2d art, if it is in a game it is for sale. Epic is just one place you can buy such assets from. There are a multitude of

Looks like she was the preppy girl that was killed by Vecna in front of Eddie.

In regards to the privacy thing, if you're using Discord, your privacy has long since been lost. As for AI being used, there's nothing actually negative here, as far as I can tell, beyond the fact that it's an emergent technology being implemented. There's nothing to suggest it will supercede existing features, and

I think this early in the game, people aren’t yet aware of just how much morale matters. I went into the battle with 19 morale the first time and totally stomped him, only dying at his last 5% health because I got cocky.

Went in again, thinking, “this CAN’T be that super hard boss everyone is talking about, right??”

I have no idea how to get back into this game with all of the expansions. I know I played Curse of Osiris and Warmind. Might have played Forsaken. Do I have to buy the other 3 expansions that came out to be able to play this one? I’ve never been able to follow the story so that doesn’t matter to me.

It’s an amazingly deep and fun game. My 9 year old and 15 year old daughters are having a blast exploring. Even my 43 year old wife, who doesn’t play games at all, loves going around and collecting things, opening up the map, etc. The long and short is, it’s probably one of the best, biggest, most fun, and most

I always find it funny that a country where everyone can run around packing heat, they’re afraid of people packing virtual vaginas.

Some people have made it their entire identity to attack people who are planning to play this game as bigots or bigot enabling and I just can’t with these people. I’ve donated a not-insignificant amount of my time and money to progressive candidates but im going to enjoy creative mediums and I separate art from

When every studio and publisher has created their own platform and we’re expected to buy a subscription to all of them? Yes.

meaning that a decade, one sequel, and two remasters later

I’ve seen/heard this comment many times since content vaulting starter, even from prominent podcasters/youtubers and I just don’t think it’s going to work. I love the game, but the single player experience it’s terrible (in terms of being boring repetitive content). I’m one of those who previously only played single

Why is this article taking shots at Troy Baker’s performance? I understand you didn’t particularly like the game (or know when it was released) but you can’t be ignorant of Bakers Joel being one of the most acclaimed performances in any videogame. It seems somewhat spiteful to chirp on about the superior Pascal based

IMO, games shouldn’t be officially announced more than 6 months before release. By that point the overarching game should be mostly locked in. Theoretically, it should help prevent some of the over-hype we’ve been dealing with in major releases as well.
