The best spec-fic is not science fiction — it *is* human drama, only set in a time and space not our own.

Who says it can't be serious drama and still be science fiction?

Let’s not be so quick to blame the Beeb for this one.

When we think of the Great BBC Wipe, we consider all the programs they cleaned off their video media, removing not only Doctor Who but plenty of music appearances and sports events as well. This was indeed a tragedy, and a bit short-sighted.

However, the materials

1) Just because you don’t think they’re a sci-fi pioneer doesn’t mean they aren’t known as one

It’s the same with the early days of the web where much of it has been lost due to the fact that it cost so much to store/keep running in the early days.

Damn you, BBC Archive junking policy! Beyond the tragedy of Doctor Who, all this material lost forever makes me The Sad.

Mercedes and Volvo are both pretty far along when it comes to the autonomy side of things. Not sure what Ford has done as far as car sharing. Autonomy is not sharing though; for now, autonomy is about driver comfort and safety, while sharing is about reducing cost and hassle of owning. Those two converge at some

This is interesting, but I kind of get the feeling that Ford has the autonomous / car share / mobility platform a little better sorted than probably anyone else right now, besides Tesla maybe. I know there’s others, but who else is as into the idea?
