This seems more the result of general conservativism than Mormonism specifically. This is trending across the country. As weird as it is, the most decent conservatives these days (very faint praise) tend to be Mormons (super conservative but with relatively consistent adherence to principles) rather than evangelicals…

Honestly, I think if the GQP does flip the House, their majority will likely be as slim as the Democrats have now. Holding on or expanding our Senate majority will greatly limit what McCarthy and Co can do and we can streamline more left/progressive justices to appellate courts.
