War and sex have always played into each other. Always. Thirsting for a brave charismatic leader is absolutely nothing new and I’d argue is pretty deeply ingrained. The only different is that now technology allows us to thirst from across the world.

It is almost as if the two aren’t mutually exclusive. I can find a man attractive and yet also care about what’s happening across the world. It is possible not to be single-minded.
