I am so sorry for your experience and thank you for your honesty. We don't talk about this because it seems cruel to question victims. But the snapshots our brains take in a highly emotional moment can be off.

The only people of whom I have ever been afraid of or abused by have been white men. I have a diverse history with dating and friendships and social circles. The people who have threatened me with violence or actually taken violent action toward me have all been white men.

It isn’t about the judge, it’s about the jury. He is saying “we don’t need all these outside agitators telling us who we can and can’t hunt.” He’s telling the jury to send a message.
