If they woke up to the truth they would have to endure the rage of looking at your parents and ancestors as the monsters they were. In some ways, at least. You can’t have blind pride in your “people” when you acknowledge how they dehumanized other peoples.

As an English teacher, I will say that it’s pretty easy to discern a person’s literacy by looking at their “writeing.” It doesn’t look good.
